Where the Flowers Burn «Там, де палають квіти» is a photographic series shaped by the collision of cultural memory and contemporary conflict.

Rooted in Ukrainian tradition yet transformed by war, the work inhabits a space between folklore and resistance. Familiar forms are stripped of comfort and placed under pressure, revealing how identity adapts when beauty must endure violence.

The figures portrayed here are not victims. They are quiet witnesses and resolute presences—carrying traces of the past while standing firmly in the present. The images resist spectacle, favoring tension, restraint, and ambiguity.
